We gratefully accept food and hygiene items, gently used clothing and shoes for all ages, as well as household basics. In addition, we appreciate donations of new clothing and gift items for children and teens for Christmas. Learn more below:

Please note that in late November and December of each year, we pause donations of gently used items so we may focus our volunteer time and building space on our Christmas Shops.

Food: We appreciate donations of breakfast foods and “meals” (soups, spaghetti & sauce, etc.). We can also accept professionally processed venison and other meats (please contact us to arrange delivery) as well as fresh garden fruits and vegetables. For those who would like to purchase items but have difficulty dropping them off, visit our Because One page to make online purchase of items at our food bank bulk pricing rates.

Hygiene: Hygiene items cannot be purchased with food stamps, but are very important to those we serve. Our most needed items include toilet paper, deodorant, shampoo, dish soap, and laundry soap.

Clothing and Shoes: We accept items for all ages, but are in most need of items for school-age children and teens as well as men. We have very few who ask for dress clothing but a majority of our clients need work clothing for retail, restaurant, and warehouse jobs. Please bring in-season items only – we do not have space for off-season storage.

Household Items: Due to space considerations, we limit these to bedding and towels.

Assisting Those Who Are Unsheltered: We appreciate donations of sleeping bags, tents, and other items to help those who do not have shelter. “On the go” food items such as beef sticks, trail mix, etc. are also appreciated.

Christmas Assistance: We create Christmas Shops for those families whose children are not otherwise sponsored each December. Donations of new toys, tween and teen gifts, new books, and clothing (especially for elementary students and teens) are appreciated and accepted throughout the year.

Please be aware that we are not able to accept furniture, used toys or household decor items.

We appreciate your donations. Please make sure clothing donations are gently used with working zippers, no rips and no stains. All food donations should be within date. Bring donations to:

Martinsville: We are located at 60 W. Pike St. and open MWF 10am-2pm. Please come to the “Donation” door near the flagpole on the south side of the building during normal business hours.

Mooresville: We are located at 27 S. Indiana St. and open MWF 9-12 and Th 6-8pm. Please come around the north side of the building and find our white garage door in the alley. In very cold weather, please knock on or enter the white door next to the garage door.

Please do NOT leave items outside when we are not open. Due to exposure to bugs, rain, etc., these items will be thrown away. Please choose another deserving charity or contact us for special circumstances.
